Milian made an appearance on screen in Be Cool, the sequel of Get Shorty alongside John Travolta and Uma Thuman. Two songs were recorded for its soundtrack. In the film Pulse, alongside Kristen Bell & Ian Somerhalder Milian portrayed the lead part. It was an adaptation of Wes Craven's 2001 Japanese film Kairo. The filming was filmed in Romania a traumatic time for Milian in which she was the victim of racial abuse and discovered that the boyfriend Nick Cannon was cheating on her. The actress was raised in Birmingham, Alabama, she began to develop an interest in acting. In Washington DC, she studied architectural studies and architecture at Mount Vernon College. She decided to drop her class in order to focus on acting full-time. In Down Twisted, she made her debut in film. She became famous after playing a key character in Scream. It had an impressive commercial impact, and it made 11x its original budget. It was also well received by critics. She reprised her part in all three sequels to the film. She reached new heights of fame after her major character in Friends which is a well-known sitcom. Her performance was recognized with numerous awards and nominations. It aired ten years. The most recent of her works is as a co-star in the drama movie Mothers and Daughters. The awards she has won by her are the TV Guide Award for her role in Friends as well as her Golden Derby Award for her part in the TV series Cougar Town.
